Students Snap Picture as Michigan State Professor Strips in Class

Students in a calculus class at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI, were treated to a shock earlier today when their professor went on a rambling tirade in class that culminated with the faculty member stripping naked and being arrested in the hallway by University police.
The county’s 911 dispatchers were called a little after 1:00 PM local time with reports of a man yelling in the University’s Engineering Building. Police responded and took the man into custody.
A student in the class ventured into the hallway during the arrest procedure, snapped a picture, and posted it to the news aggregation site Reddit.
Comments on Reddit suggest that the faculty member had issues in the past, and was prone to strange outbursts in class, among other odd behaviors.
The University’s police department has released the following statement:
MSU police responded and took the man, a university professor, into protective custody and transported him to a local hospital.
No one was injured, and the professor is not being charged with a crime.
MSU’s Counseling Center has reached out to students who may have witnessed the incident to offer any support they need.
MSU student Karson Arnold was on Twitter as the incident unfolded, and also made several comments after the arrest:
I think my professor is literally losing his mind right in front of class mid lecture.
